John Dawson: What is TRUTH???

John Dawson is a fresh voice to the R&B scene. His eclectic blend of musical styles are inspired by his experiences & exposure to broad range of genre from the 70’s classics through the 90’s hip hop. John’s musical appreciation helped him uncover and explore other talents creatively.

On November 29, 2011, John released his very first solo project, “Art vs Power: The Real Me” much of which he wrote. This project was downloaded over 1600 times on various mixtape releasing mediums such as DatPiff & LiveMixtapes.com. From there, he went on a 2-year performance run at open mics, showcases, & even auditions including an audition for VA STAND UP Competition for Young Jeezy. John has been nominated for two VA Unity Awards (2012 & 2014), had numerous placements on the DDK Dance charts, showcased music on the Fuzion Fitness Workout show, and has worked with countless artists & performers in the 757 & 804 areas. Through these opportunities he learned that being an authentic, genuine artist would cause the greatest impact to his creative process and his listeners.

Presently, John is working on brand new music, for which he created the genre name TRUTH MUSIC--relatable, truthful, feel good music. He illustrates this new style in his latest solo project entitled Love, Life, & GoodMusic. His main goal with his music is to inspire, empower, and motivate others to be great. Look forward to hearing more of this in the release of his first official single entitled NECTAR.
