Joli Noir (formerly Prettyblack/Prettyblackmusic) is a Virginia native , born and raised in Portsmouth. She has possessed a love for music since the age of 8 years old and since then, had begun writing her own songs. At the age of 14, Joli and a few of her childhood friends, wrote and recorded their first (and only) record "Finally In Love". They called themselves "The Lucky Charms".

Upon graduating early from high school at the age of 17,attending college & working regular jobs for a few years, Joli decided to take a break from school and tapped back into her passion for music and began writing and recording again at the age of 21. Getting over her slight fear of recording and performing live, with the help of her peers, Joli was able to kick start her musical journey and let the world know what she has to offer it and the music industry.

Since changing her stage name to Joli Noir, Joli has felt a sense of evolution and has grown tremendously as an artist. With her fresh rhymes, inviting tone, trendy style and humble attitude, Joli Noir has all the makings of an iconic artist.
