Terrance A.K.A TGZ was born in Asheville, North Carolina. He started rapping at the age of 15 and was inspired by artist such artists as Snoop Dogg, 2pac, Biggie, Busta Rhymes, and Nas. As the years would pass, he would spend time with his cousins during their high school lunches to have a few freestyle sessions. At the age of 16 his friends Seth Link a.k.a Red and Tony Ashford a.k.a Joonya T were exchanging rhymes, and later formed a group called KrunKrew. By the time TGZ was 18, he recorded his first song called “Intro to T-Gezi” which caught the attention of several friends and co-workers leading him to meet a friend named Janelle who had various music industry connections.

Janelle eventually landed TGZ and KrunKew their first performance in 2002 where they opened up for Nelly and the St. Lunatics. At the end of 2002, he started to work on his group demo entitled Blast 2 Fame in his house. They were using a program called cool-edit and got beats provided by friends David & Lucas. They also obtained beats from the internet to work on the project. TGZ came across another friend named Jonathan Sausedo from Fresh Outta Luck Productions.
Since then TGZ has done several performances in North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. He has also released several projects independently, recently releasing 3 mixtapes and currently working on his 4th which is also is first official project under Double S Records
